One Hospitalized After Monday Night Crash

Warsaw – A one-vehicle accident just south of Warsaw Monday night, May 16, left one person with critical injuries.

A silver Chevrolet HHR driven by Dennis Hurst, 65, of South Bend, was traveling north on SR 25 when the vehicle left the east shoulder of the roadway, and then overcorrected, crossed the west side of the highway and struck a NIPSCO utility pole.

Hurst was ejected from the vehicle and hospitalized in critical condition.

 The accident happened just south of CR 100S around 6 p.m.

This crash remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Fatal Team.

Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, Warsaw Police, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Lutheran EMS responded to the accident.
